The royally-bred stallion is a son of leading sire Bettor's Delight out of the brilliant World Champion and Dan Patch Award winner Put On A Show p, 5, 1:47.3m ($2,406,628). Stakes placed in two of three freshman starts, Best In Show hit the board in 13 of 16 sophomore attempts while battling on the Grand Circuit and in Ontario. The colt scored three times, capturing the $682,650 Meadowlands Pace, defeating favorite Captain Crunch and Bettor's Wish, taking his 1:48 record.

Trained by Linda Toscano, Best In Show finished second in some of the sport's top events including a division of the Simcoe, Somebeachsomewhere, Simpson and Breeders Crown elimination. As ages four and five Best In Show continued to display his speed and collect wins, taking seasonal marks of 1:49.1 and 1:49.

Best In Show is a great cross to many Indiana-sired broodmares, and his foals will be Breeders Crown eligible. In his first two seasons, Best In Show covered books of at least 90 mares.

Update: Best in show is a half-brother to one of the top sophomore pacers of 2023. Its My Show p,3, 1:46.4; 1:49h-'23 ($1,124,715) is a double world champion and winner of the North America Cup and Little Brown Jug.
